HOLIDAY HOUSE

A place to feel at home

Book your stay

The atmosphere of Certosa 1515, respectful of a past time, is simple and cordial: it welcomes guests making them feel at home right away. Its 38 rooms, welcoming and gathered around the cloister of the ancient convent, retain a sober and essential style.

In some rooms you can appreciate the still original furnishings, stuccos and cornices of the old convent, in others you can appreciate the panoramic view overlooking the basin of the Avigliana lakes, while others have a view of the garden.

The solutions, all equipped with private bathroom, are divided into single, double and triple rooms, for a total of 75 beds. Two rooms are equipped for people with disabilities, and all can also be reached by lift.

Library

A reading room available to guests, where you can also find collections of books ranging from fiction to non-fiction, from religious books to local information.

A place that smells of its paper and the wood of its furniture, a bright place that overlooks the garden.

Bottega

A small shop where you can buy the honey produced by the bees of the Certosa, gift items made in the laboratories of the Abele Group communities, gadgets from the association and above all wines and food products from Libera Terra, the result of the commitment of cooperatives in the lands confiscated from the mafias .

The publications of Edizioni Gruppo Abele are also available here, including three books dedicated to the San Francesco Convent, precious sources for learning about the history of the Certosa and the area. In the shop you can also find the engravings that the artist Tino Aime dedicated to this place of rest and thought, so dear to him.

The shop is open on weekends and holidays.

Children's house

A wooden house near the wood with toys, books, paints, paper, carpets. A meadow with carousels, a small house and swings.

A house that allows the Certosa even more to be a place of welcome for the family and therefore a concrete response to its needs.

Park

Outside the ancient walls that surround the building there are enchanting chestnut and beech woods while the large area of the convent includes a rural area used as an arboretum and vegetable garden and a park where you can spend relaxing moments.

Church

The Certosa1515 develops around a church consecrated in 1521. Bringing Earth and Heaven closer together is the aspiration and mission of this place which for almost 500 years has been a center of contemplation and prayer.

The convent church still retains - in the side chapels, in the tympanum of the façade and in the lunette above the entrance - part of the fresco decoration from the early sixteenth century, while the domed vault dates back to the second half of the eighteenth century. The church is still consecrated and is owned by Certosa1515.
