In April we will dive into the past with three themed events to retrace history through food and its stories. In this journey we will be accompanied by Alessia M.S. Giorda, head of promotion of the artistic and historical heritage of the Rivoli Castle Museum and Savoy Residence, and the association Le vie del tempo.
Here’s the program of the three evenings:
April, 1 – Cooks, princes, thieves and dames
The medieval history of Piedmont from the kitchen to the Savoy tables
April, 29 – Eating with soldiers
The stories of men and women who – following an ideal, escaping hunger, but also searching for love – march on the roads of Europe
May, 7 – Dames and gentlemen
The 19th-century table: curiosities and gossip from the New World
